Yarmouth Port, Wellfleet, Provincetown
This week, I flew home with my mother to Yarmouth, Massachusetts to bury my father’s ashes in the place where many generations of my mother’s family are buried, Ancient Cemetery.
I am back in Florida where I came home to a wall of 95-degree heat inside the cottage due to days-long broken air-conditioner (luckily a repair man arrived last night). But I’m trying to stay in that place I belong with my family, friends, beaches, ocean and ponds and marsh. The sky and trees and voices I’ve known all my life.
